Openwork Macrame Bracelet

Blossom Lady
Feb 19, 2021 06:56 AM

Do you love all things macrame? Skip the wall hangings and planters to make some jewelry instead. This DIY macrame bracelet is perfect for beginner, intermediate, and advanced crafters. A lot of macrame projects look heavy – made with thick yarns and dense knotting patterns. Macrame can also be used to create light and lacy looks, like in this bracelet. This openwork macrame style is delicate, pretty, and faster to knot than a more dense pattern would be.

Macrame bracelets – they’re gorgeous to look at, make fantastic gifts and friendship bracelets, and can be personalised to suit a range of looks and styles. What you may not know about these pretty jewellery must-haves, is that they’re super quick and simple to make, too! Once you’ve mastered the ever-so-easy technique, you can create yourself bracelet after bracelet with ease – and these gorgeous macrame bracelets certainly do look fabulous when stacked up on your wrist!

This tutorial shows how to make a really easy openwork macrame bracelet. For the most interesting appearance you can also add beads. With this style you can also make a belt, just take bigger cords and make it longer.

Supplies:

  • #10 crochet cotton
  • clasp
  • jump rings
  • large rings – about 1/2 inch or 12-14mm
  • sharp scissors
  • sewing pins
  • cork panels
  • jewelry pliers
  • fray check or clear fabric glue
