How To Make A Roman Shade

Mar 30, 2021 12:30 AM

With onset of spring more sun beams start to get into your houses. As a result, it`s very hot inside. I have gor one more problem: I can`t sleep well in the morning because the sun gets up earlier and earlier. The solution is to make a roman shade. I hope it`ll be not only functional, but also stylish and will add some accent to your space. Let`s make our own perfect window coverings together!

Things you need:

  • 2 yards decor fabric
  • 4 wooden dowels that are ¼" in diameter and are as wide as you want your shade
  • A 1 x 2 piece of wood that's as wide as you want your shade
  • 2 brackets to mount the shade to the wall
  • screws for wall mounting
  • 2 eye screws
  • thin nylon string
  • 8 small plastic shade rings
  • wood staple gun
  • sewing machine
  • needle & thread
